Interim Executive Director

Malinda Horton has been the Executive Director of the Florida Association of Museums (FAM) since 1995. She is a native Floridian and attended Florida State University. Her degree is in Political Science and her dream was to become a lobbyist and work in the legislative process. She is the lobbyist for FAM in addition to her regular Executive Director duties. Robert Overton, Jr. (x106)

Mr. Overton is responsible for all aspects of daily museum operations and public programming which serves about 15,000 school children and 50,000 museum visitors each year. Mr. Paterson is responsible for ongoing maintenance and special construction projects. Pat is a state registered Building Contractor, a member of the Southern Building Code Congress, and Construction Specifications Institute. He has completed several SBCCI Construction Inspection Courses and graduated from The UWF Whitman Center School of Management and Supervision.
